Beautiful one day...perfect the next! The Gold Coast is the most commercialised area in Australia. It stretches 35kms from the NSW/QLD border to Surfer's Paradise. There are hundreds of apartment blocks and hotels right on the beachfront and the relaxed pace of the area makes it a nice place to have a restful holiday or a break from a backpacking trip. There are lots of "attractions" here unfortuanately most of them are really expensive and not that unique. Still there is enough to do to keep you busy for a few days if you can't bear the thought of just laying on the beach and soaking in the atmosphere :-) |
