My trip to southern Germany began with a phone call. My father asked me if I'd like to come to Europe with my mother and him for a two week vacation. It took all of 3 seconds to accept. I had spent my whole life in the US except for a few trips across the border into Canada and Mexico. This was to be a real treat.... half way around the world to Deutchland!!!

I'd like to share some of my photos with you and let you come see for yourself. I was amazed at the historical evidence that was all around me. Bridges built by the Romans, family homes dating back 400 years, cathedrals built in the 1200's...I was overwhelmed! In the US, we tear down stadiums and shopping malls when they are only 50 years old. Being in Europe was a completely different experience for me.
