The great capital of SALONE... I WAS BORN HERE AND I DONT THINK ANYBODY WILL TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT THIS WONDERFUL PLACE..NOT UNTIL FEBUARY 1999 FREETOWN WAS THE ONLY PLACE I KNEW. DUE TO CIVIL UNREST I WAS FORCE TO NIEGBOURING GUINEA & then to lot of places around the world.

LET ME SAY I HAVE BEEN AWAY FOR ALMOST 3 YEARS BUT SINCERELY SPEAKING ALONG THE WEST COAST OF AFRICA FREETOWN IS STILL THE PLACE TO BEAT.. INTERMS OF ALL THE BASIC FACILITY A CITY WOULD HAVE... NOT TO BE COMPAREED WITH ANY OF THE OTHER CITIES IN THE SUB-REGION..

FREETOWN IS THE LESS EXPENSIVE PLACE TO VISIT ALONG THE WEST COAST WITH LOT OF TOURIST ATTRACTION TO ENJOY..

SIERRA LEONE A PORTUGESS WORD MEANS LION MOUNTAIN.. AS YOU ENTER FREETOWN THE CITY IS IN THE MIDDLE OF MOUNTAINS AND SEA THE ATLANTIC OCEAN.

FOOD THERE ARE LOT OF LOCAL AND WESTERN DISHES ONE CAN ENJOYED ESPECIALLY Rice with different types of sauce example cassava leaves, potatoes leaves, green, etc etc.. With good flavour no wonder Sierra leonean women are normally importer to go and serve as cook in neighbouring countries hotels..

Freetown is the only place in west Africa were you will know the worth of US$100 dollars…

Clubbing & Parting that the name and motto of Freetown residence and in general that the description of a true Sierra leonean. No matter the condition of the country all the street of Freetown will never be quite.. Freetown has the best beach & nightclub in West Africa which Lagoonda since 1990. Merriment is the order of the day in Freetown which so many cultural festivities…

Communication
Sincerely speaking there is a telephone in every two houses in Freetown, therefore which makes communication very effective and less expensive. Unlike other cities in West Africa were you can find a lot of telephone centre to do local and international calls. Freetown is a class of it own there is no individual own telephone centre. There are phone cards and booth all over the city. At a very afford able price and the Telephone company Sierratel provide effected services to the residence of Freetown.

TOURIST ATTRACTION IN SIERRA LEONE

SIERRA LEONE HAS THE BEST BEACHES ANY TOURIST CAN DREAM OF IN WEST AFRICA..

BEACHES LIKE.. LUMELY, HAMILTON, LAKKA, SUSSEX, NUMBER 2 RIVER, NEWTON AND MANYMORE ARE BEACHES WITH DIFFERNT CLASS OF THEIR OWN.
NICE AND GLITTERING SAND, WITH VERY GOOD WEATHER AROUND JANUARY THROUGH JUNE.

WITH NICE LOOKING HOTEL AND GUEST HOUSES AROUND WITH LOT OF GOOD FOOD ESPECIALLY AROUND FREETOWN AND IT ENVIRONS....
