What can I say about Zurich? It's no coincidence that part of Zurich is 'rich'! The Bahnhofstrasse (pictured) is the most expensive shopping street in Europe!
It doesn't feel that way, however - I've lived near Yorkville in Toronto, been to Manhattan's 5th Avenue, wandered through Los Angeles' Rodeo Drive, worked near Regent Street in London, and strolled Tokyo's Ginza on a Sunday afternoon... and the Bahnhofstrasse is the least pretentious of the lot. |

Unusual sites, part 2 There is an annual spring "art show" that takes place in the streets of Zurich. Companies sponsor artists to design street benches, perhaps with a theme for the company, perhaps at the artist's discretion.
