<b><font color=blue> In September 1968 the town of Molesey, in Surrey, was flooded by the River Thames. Molesey has two other rivers flowing through it, the Mole and the Ember, and these rivers added enormously to the problem. Although not anywhere near as severe as some of the recent floods in America and other countries, this flood was unexpected and was disasterous in its own way for the inhabitants (including me at the time) of Molesey.</font>
