Buraimi is a group of small oases, situated on the border between Oman and Abu Dhabi. The area is rich in oil reserves, and was the centre of various conflicts, especially in the 1950's.

This is just a little story of my fleeting visit there sometime in 1976. My apologies for the quality of the photos, but if you click to enlarge them you will have a nicer view.

Hi Geoffs, I don't think that Buraimi has much Oil reserve. All the UAE and Omani oil come from else where. I am not in the oil industry but I really dought this information.
