I was last in Oman during the period 1975 until April 1977, when I was serving on secondment from the British Army to The Sultan's Armed Forces. I worked in Muaskar al-Murtafa'a, near Seeb, as the Force Clerical Training Instructor. I made many Omani and Baluchi friends during my stay, and have fond recollections of my experiences. My aim now is to revisit Oman as soon as I can, and I am actively seeking to trace at least some of the Omani friends I once knew.

I have added a couple of Travelogues of snapshots taken at various locations. Please have a look before leaving Oman. Thanks.

Geoff - I have been trying to identify the location of forts shown in my father's photos of the 1950's One of them appears to match yours of Al-Kamil. Can I send you a couple more photos to see if you can identify their location? Cheers
