"Pertisau am Achensee" Pertisau by Geoff_Wright

Pertisau is a delightful Tyrolean village just above the Achensee - the biggest and deepest lake in Austria. There was very little snow when we visited in early March, and our horse-drawn sleigh ride was accomplished ising 4 wheels on the sleigh instead of the skis! As we climbed through the valley, the road was running with water from the melting snow, but there was just enough to make the whole place very pretty, and even for some skiing.
