I regret that anyone hoping to see details of Bristol on this page will be rather disappointed! Owing to the lack of VT cities in the West of England, I have had to choose this site for an Exeter and Dartmoor page, being the closest city to that region (other than Plymouth).
I worked in Exeter for a number of years and to me it is a far superior city than Plymouth in many respects. Although both cities suffered badly during World War 2, to me, Exeter has been rebuilt in such a way that it is far more attractive both for the tourist and shopper. The photos of Exeter shown in this page are taken from the Exeter City Council's tourist site, and will be replaced by personal photos as soon as I can take the appropriate shots. The text, however, it my own!
Dartmoor lies between Exeter and Plymouth. There are two major roads around the Moor - the A38 to the east, and the A30/A386 to the west. For details of beautiful Dartmoor see my travelogue (link below). But read this page first, please.

Exeter is one of those towns you don't hear much about in America, but it certainly looks worthy of a visit! Lovely buildings.
