There`s not much in Aioi but there is the famous Aioi Peiron Festival from May 24-25th every year. This is a dragonboat racing festival that has its roots in China. Oarsmen & women compete in the harbor while beautiful fireworks light up the night on the 1st day.
Riot Police are gearing up for possible fights after the festival.
