KamiFurano w/ lavendar fields - Kami-furano

The name Furano originates from the Ainu word "Furanui", meaning fragrant flower. It`s no wonder since Furano is famous for lavendar. There are lavendar fields dotting the landscape in the town. Be sure to buy some lavendar products if you come here & try some lavendar ice cream! Sounds strange but tastes delicious!!
Another Furano fact is that geographically, Furano is located smack middle of Hokkaido! Because of this, Furano has earned the nickname ?navel/belly button town??. Every summer, a navel/belly button festival is held here. Around 3000 people participate & draw funny faces on their bellies & dance around in the main street area!!

I just bet those lavender fields are gorgeous but I can't imagine trying a lavender ice cream:-) Such a pretty picture of you at Flowerland. I luv lamb and that restaurant sounds good. The Festival sounds a riot...lol
