I fell in love with this onsen town immediately. The first time I came here was in July 2001 on an overnight trip from Himeji. My friends & I went to Takeno beach & at night went to our ryokan, Matsuya Ryokan, to eat a crab dinner. Kinosaki is famous for both its onsens & Japanese crab! Sweet & juicy! After dinner we again soaked in water but this time in a hot spring bath. We visited a few Kinosaki onsens; all different & unique in its own way.
I just recently got another chance to come here (the end of Dec 2003). I`m glad I got a chance to visit this town in both the summer & winter. The baths feel better when the weather is cold, esp the outdoor baths!
