okayama is famous for MOMO (peaches). there is a japanese tale about a boy named MOMOTARO who grew from inside a peach. he was found by an elderly couple who raised him. they lived in a village that was one day attacked by a demon devil. MOMOTARO decided to go and kill this demon devil. the story continues describing the adventure MOMOTARO goes on to kill this demon devil and the friends he makes along the way.

    Are there Germans in the park? I'm looking for a getaway from tokushima just after New Year's. Deutsche Village on Shikoku had no Germans, though I emptied my wallet buying good beer

    Do you know why Goemonburo has that name? Goemon was a highwayman on the Tokaido. When he was caught he was boiled to death in a large kettle. I never actually saw one, prefer rotenburo.
