Museum of Fine Arts: THE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS (MFA)
  • Tip Rating:
  • i love this art museum and can spend hours here! they have paintings, sculptures, textiles, pottery, jewelry, masks, furniture, etc. there is art from all over the world. they have so many exhibits it would take you a few days to see everything. they also have an ongoing film series and music concerts in the summertime. in the rear of the museum outside there is a japanese garden where you can relax and reflect on what you have seen in the museum.

    Boston Common: BOSTON COMMONS/PUBLIC GARDEN
  • Tip Rating:
  • Boston Boston Common
  • George Washington in the Commons

  • These 2 parks are adjacent to each other. They are located centrally within the bordering areas of Back Bay, South End, Chinatown, Beacon Hill, & the North End.
These two parks are an oasis for those who want to get away from the hustle & bustle of Boston. They are also great places to people watch!
In the Public Garden is a pond where in the summertime you can ride the Swan Boats. Almost all of Boston & cities/town surrounding Boston children go here on a fieldtrip. Buy bread beforehand to feed the ducks while riding on the swan boat. Great for people of all ages!!

    Charles River: THE CHARLES RIVER
  • Tip Rating:
  • The Charles River separates Boston from Cambridge. It`s beautiful & you can often see the Harvard Crew rowing in the river. You can also walk or exercise along the river on both sides on it. Rollerbladers, bicyclers, & joggers are a constant scene. In the summertime, you can also try kayaking, sailing or windsurfing. Other facilities include 6 swimming pools, 12 tennis courts, & a fitness course.
This is a great place to take pictures as well.

    Chinatown: VISIT CHINATOWN!!
  • Tip Rating:
  • A great place to eat & buy Chinese snacks! Come here to eat dim sum (brunch) or dinner. Boston`s Chinatown is very small & if you blink going by you`ll miss it!! There are lots of restaurants & shops to buy souvenirs though. The restaurants, although this is Chinatown, are not all Chinese. You can find various kinds of Asian food here besides Chinese: Japanese, Malaysian, Korean, Thai, & Vietnamese.
The weekends can get crowded so be aware.

    New England Aquarium: Jelly Fish!!
  • Tip Rating:
  • The New England Aquarium was remodelled around 1999-2000. Alot of new exhibits were introduced including new penguins, Africa’s Inland Sea exhibit, and an activity center for hands-on family learning. A new IMAX theater was opened as well, showing IMAX movies (Harry Potter and Spiderman among the most recent ones) and 3D documentaries like Ocean Wonderland.
I visited recently as they had an amazing exhibit on jelly fish. My favorite!
This is a great place to bring kids (and adults!) of all ages.

Your restaurant tips are making me hungry and also realize that it's been ages since I went to Pho. Gotta go!
