Mustiala is the site of Finland's first agricultural college (established in 1840). Today the school is one of the units of Hame Polytechnic.
Mustiala is a nice complex of mostly old wooden and brick houses in a park area. In addition to the agricultural school, Mustiala has a pub - Iso Piippu - and an agricultural museum.
I've been teaching different tourism subjects in Mustiala since 1995 as a guest lecturer. I like staying and working here a lot: the colleagues are friendly, the surroundings green and relaxing, my room is comfortable and the food is great. |
