Auckland Hotel Tips by aramat

I've read about this hotel that it's "ideal for the budget conscious traveller" and that's right. The room was OK, though a bit cold in April, and I was surprised to see that it had no ensuite bathroom. The location was perfect though, only a few minutes walk from downtown. The staff was friendly, but there was no 24-hour service and when I arrived in the middle of the night from Melbourne, my room key was in a large envelope at the reception desk. Maybe things have changed since 2002.
