The largest Sunday Market Sunday market is a gathering on Sunday where all villagers from different places come to sell whatever they have, to earn money. As a tourist, I come here main purpose only to take photos and enjoy. Not just me, I saw many tourist come with high quality cameras to do what I did too. |
| | What I saw here I write this page without any internet searchings, only what I saw in Hotan. Another very modern city of Western China, same as Kashgar and others. Hotan is a little different in its own way, I don't know how to tell you in words but I am very sure I like Hotan more than Kashgar. Temperature in June is around 37 Celsius. All these pictures were taken from the Sunday Market which I heard was the largest. The top photo is a place selling animals, second photo is selling Jade stones of Hotan and last is four beggars. |
| | Mostly Uyghurs Hotan is no different from other Xinjiang cities where most inhabitants are Uyghurs Muslims. They are able to speak Mandarin but very strong accent which I couldn't understand. Almost nobody speaks English except some youngsters in school uniforms. Lots of bullock carts, bicycles, traditional things especially in the Uyghurs areas, very contrast to the modernized Han Chinese. For more information, please click my tips. I have a total 117 photos to tell. |
