  • Luggage And Bags: This city is too modern and yet too convenience for tourists, even sometimes I hate seeing so many luggage and bag shops in the city centre, out of the city as well.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Sorry this tip is a little embarrass to talk in public but if I don't tell you, it could be a problem. If you are large breasted woman, please bring all your bras, because such measurements are rare in Malaysia.

Besides Malay Muslim women, the best way to dress in KL is a singlet, short with slippers/sandals. Too hot to wear long sleeves, of course this is my personal opinion.

Not easy to buy long pants if you are over 6'4'ft. Malaysian's average heights are 5'6' male and 5'3' for female. Perhaps you need a small umbrella or a lightweight rain jacket. Shoes are problem if you are over 6'5". Beds too are only to fit the size of Malaysian, not for peoples over 6,5".

Toiletries & Medical Supplies: You don't need any because we have Toiletries And Medical Supplies in Malaysia at everywhere. Chinese Medicine shops, Pharmacy, Clinics are abundant.

Photo Equipment: You don't need any. You can come and buy all Photo equipments from KL's Photo Shops. Kodak 200 RM12. Fuji, Konica, Agfa, Samsung. But sorry, we don't have Malaysian made film yet to offer.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: No place for you to camp in KL city. But if you insist to camp, we suggest you to try sleeping at our beautiful parks. There we normally have nice wooden made pavillions.

Miscellaneous: Kuala Lumpur has all materials you needed. The only exception are illegal materials such as porno magazines, drug, weapons, etc.

If you have VT ID Card, pack it.

  • Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: If you have no idea what to pack for your Kuala Lumpur travel, you may want to try this method as shown in the photo. These kind of packing styles are so far in trend and acceptable by millions around the world. But if you want to try something special, sure why not?

    Packing Lists: Muslims packing method
  • Tip Rating:

  • Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: This is a photo I took from the Kuala Lumpur city centre. She is no doubt a Muslim woman and I think she pack quite nicely, so I put up here to show you. Do you notice she is wearing a sport shoes, so that she can walk even run across the road at quite a speed.

    Packing Lists: How others pack
  • Tip Rating:

  • Miscellaneous: Look tourists, if you are having no idea how to pack for your travels in Kuala Lumpur, this photo probably is the solution for you. I saw most of tourists only pack small and light with a bottle of water and a guidebook and they wear sandals. And for what to wear in Kuala Lumpur, let me tell you this, never in my entire life I felt too cold in this country, I don't think you need to bring any thick heavy clothes or jackets. The temperature daily in Kuala Lumpuris 31 daytime, sometimes rise up to 35. At night is average 23-28 Celsius. Tourists can dress like the woman in picture, just fine with that.

    Packing Lists: 230V please
  • Tip Rating:

  • Miscellaneous: 230V please, this is our socket and voltage. If you want to bring along battery charger, this can be your guide. For AA bateries or Lithium batteries, you can buy here together with charger, best buy at Sungai Wang or Low Yat for all electronic goods.

Packing Lists: Middle East way of packing
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Luggage And Bags: Here is a picture taken from Bukit Bintang shopping area, to show tourists the way to pack, if you are from the Middle East of Islam. I am not an expert on this, also I am not familiar with Islamic rules for travellers, I only know how to upload photos to show the way they pack, although I didn't see their packs but better than nothing to see, at least tourists have an idea, correct or wrong?

    Packing Lists: Others packing
  • Tip Rating:
  • Luggage And Bags: This picture show a woman tourist and her partner with small backpack at the back of Chinatown. You can see her hand is holding a LonelyPlanet guidebook and a city map, that probablt is the most common way of self arranged travel styles. Special notice for women tourists, try not to wear like this woman in picture while visiting the Islamic places especially mosque, and if you want to travel north to Kelantan, please cover all entirely except your head, the state of Kelantan is under strict Islamic control.

Packing Lists: Pack a laptop computer
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]

  • Miscellaneous: Pack a laptop computer is a good idea, with this, you can build travel pages on the spot plus you can download all photos from you digital camera into the harddisk, but the problem is, a laptop computer is not easy to take care, but still is good.

    Packing Lists: Too many bags
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]

  • Miscellaneous: If you are worrying about not enough bags for packing, let me show you this photo, this is just a small street vendor in Chinatown selling wallets and waist pouches, bigger bag shops are abundant in Kuala Lumpur, you can even come here without packing, just a wallet, passport and ticket of flight.
