| | Make sure you visit this village of Portuguese descendants. If you look at the picture on top taken from their village, you should be able to notice her Portuguese look. She is a Portuguese descendant from the days of 1511 untill 1641. A total of 130 years. My car drove by, ask her whether it is convenience for me to take a photo, she replied "take as many as you like".
According to historians, the first Melaka leader Parameswara of year 1400s once hopped onto Ming Dynasty's teakwood vessel commanded by the famous Muslims eunuch Mr. Ma (but were widely known as Zheng He or old spelling system Cheng Ho). Mr. Ma's father and grandfather both were devout Muslims ever visited Mecca as pilgrimage (I read from book).
The whole family of Parameswara follow Mr. Ma sailed north to the Ming Imperial Palace and as usual, Parameswara has to perform the traditional tribute etiquette to the Ming Emperor because the Mingese think the heaven is under them. According to reliable source from Chinese historical book, the Ming Emperor was so happy to see Parameswara, later both of them exchanged gifts and beautiful complimentary words. Emperor gave Parameswara 500 humans as gifts for him to bring back home. These 500 humans later intermarried local Malays, their descendants were known as Baba-Nyonya. Baba-Nyonya can be seen in Melaka today if you visit their house.
The Hindu Prince later converted to Islam and his eunuch friend ZhengHe, already a Muslim visited him many times.
