I have been to the Czech Republic six times before, and thrice to its state capital (twice for leisure in 2001 and once for a conference in 2002). This city is not your average Eastern European city -- it is extravagant, fine, and rich in history. You'll see many similarities between Prague and Vienna: the large cobblestoned pedestrian zone in the city centre, pretty bridges across a long river, breathtaking cathedrals, amazing architecture, and costumed men trying to sell tickets to classical concerts.
