Bregenz is the oldest city on Lake Constance. The history of this administrative centre dates back to 2000 BC; since then, its population has blossomed to 28.000 inhabitants. It richness in history and culture, as well as being at the crossroads of 3 countries, make for a lively capital of the western Austrian province of Vorarlberg. Great friendships developed in Lochau, a small community just 15 minutes west of Bregenz, where 26 international student representatives lived for less than a month, while studying at a diplomatic academy in Schloss Hofen. For this reason, I will always hold fond memories of this small town situated on the Bodensee. |
