Poland is great to experience. If you like hiking, go to the Tatra-mountains in the south. Try to take some time to visit concentration-camp Auschwitz and don't forget to take a taxi to Birkenau. After you've seen this, you will realize what was really going on during WW-II.
Krakow (=Krakau) is also a special place to be.
We've travelled overthere by truck. We've arranged the trip with a friendly truckdriver. After 4 weeks he had picked us up again and showed us his family in Poland.
