Corsica is the place to be if you like hiking and climbing. They say when you travel by boat to La Corse, you can smell the Island, and it is true! They have an amazing variety of flowers and plants. It is the thoughest Grand Randonnee of France, but an experience you'll never forget. The best you can do is to bring a daypack and sleep in the cabins on top of the mountains. We were carrying a backpack of 20 kg each and that was too much to get us every day to the next cabin, so we had to sleep in our tent in the wilderness (also very special, except for the wild pigs who are living there...). if I would go back again, I would prefer a daypack. |
