Travelling from Prague airport, nothing prepared us for the beauty and character of the city centre, especially the "Old Town" area. It is called "Prague of a hundred spires" and one can easily see why this is so.
The panorama looking across the River Vltava is dominated by the castle, and in the evening when it is illuminated, the view is quite breathtaking.
We actually visited in April/May and the weather was perfect then.I believe that in July it can get very hot, also very crowded with tourists.
Prague is a city that you can keep visiting with enjoyment over and over again, and it never loses it's magic. I'm sure that if you do go, you won't be disappointed, and I hope that my page will be of some help.
