The "flava" of the middle ages... | Maria in front of the Cathedral |
northern part of Catalunya, an hour and 20 mins bus ride from Barcelona. I never imagined how interesting this place would be to visit. Luckily, I met Albert and Oli (first online, then here in sunny Macie) and they offered me to stay with them, making my Girona visit MUCH more valuable and amazing. (moral of the story, VT brings people together) The old part of the town is… as if you were in some fancy, medieval story. Walking through the narrow streets, giving your eyes a treat with their picturesqueness, admiring the magnitude of the Cathedral, or conquering the old part by a long walk along the Wall… all of it, makes a stay in Girona extra special. … So… In case you happen to be visiting the Costa Brava, or Barcelona, make sure you have at least A DAY reserved for Girona. |
| | ... MAJOR THANX!!!... to ALBERT and OLI who accepted me in their home. (Alberrrt, here in VT community, who I started communicating with through this nice web-site of ours)...
I spent 6 amazing days in their warm home and enjoyed every second of it. |
the very center of this cute town, on a sunny March day... | | |
