When I first came across "VT" I never really thought it would have such an effect upon my life, the social part of it especially, since I've managed to get in touch with many people all over the world. I'm glad there is, at least, ONE place (hopefully there are more) where people realize how similar and how different we all are. The differences that exist are the ones making this World COLORFUL and INTERESTING, and in my opinion, they shouldn't be an obstacle in the communication. On the contrary, just one more motivating factor to LEARN MORE, try more, experience more, see more... I guess, VT is definitely a GOOD place to start!
For those of you who make an attempt to contact me: I've blocked outside emails simply because the amount of spam mail was unbearable. So try: lamacondense(at)yahoo.es but please... SINCE OBVIOUSLY some people FORGET that this is a website about "TRAVELING" and NOT classified adds, BEAR IN MIND that I am NEITHER looking for a partner, NOR seeking to engage in sexual conversations through the Internet. I am sorry I am using capital letters but some people choose to ignore this. I am a member of this website because I absolutely love traveling and exploring different cultures. So, anything you want to share on these matters, you're more than welcome. Anything else, such as looking for a partner, or proposing I-don't-know-what-kind-of-relationships, NO, THANK YOU. You are in the wrong community.
OH, AND ONE more thing... the external web-address given is actually a BLOG I used to share with my great friend Darko (we recently decided that I should just make it "mine" since I posted 99% of the stuff), so... yes, it is basically MY OWN virtual space to freely express our opinions about... u name it. Just have it in mind, in case u decide to visit it. And I started another one (http://lamacondense.blogspot.com) which focuses more on my ... experiences here in Spain... well, Catalunya to be exact. |
| | Latest news! Well, after three full years in Girona, Catalunya (Spain), I am now back in Skopje, Macedonia... starting out a new chapter of my life, I guess. Spring has arrived in Skopje and it's been nice.
I am still available to answer your questions on Girona, or Costa Brava, in case I actually have useful information, so feel free to ask.

... not functioning well with "limitations..." Traveling, to me, is literally SPIRITUAL FOOD. It is by far the most opening, mind-broadening experience. It offers a chance to explore two worlds simultaneously: the outside World, with all the discovered (and undiscovered) wonders, and also the "inner self." It has enabled me to realize that the only "official nationality" I would ever accept as a description of myself, would be: "Cosmopolitan" or Citizen of the World. I've never been good with limits, borders, narrow-mindedness... So, it's not difficult to understand why I've enjoyed creating "my place" within this community.
PS. I have received on several occasions some provocations by ... certain people. I just wanna say: I WILL NEVER reply to any of them. I have no intention to get into stupid, pointless, senseless and time-wasting arguments. We're all entitled to our own opinion, and I'd much rather communicate with open people. So... it's up to you whether you'll choose to get to know me, and something about this little country, or not... Thanks!
YOU SEE THE MESSAGE written above??? I wrote that ... a long time ago. But, it doesn't seem to reach everyone. WHY CERTAIN people choose to send me messages telling me that I am "this" or "that", or that my country is "this" or "that", is BEYOND MY COMPREHENSION. And I am fairly intelligent. Please, get a life people and do not waste it trying to tell me what my identity is.
| | Mom & Dad "You know, kids, I wish every mom and dad would make a speech to their teenagers and say "Kids, be free, be whatever you are, do whatever you want to do, just so long as you don't hurt anybody. And remember kids, I am your friend." (HAIR, the musical... yes, am a devoted fan)
Two of the coolest people in the Solar system, need I say more? |
... la loquilla M... Ever since I read 100 años de soledad I... got hooked on... well, latin american culture in general. I started learning spanish, and... getting to know more about the different places that make up that amazing corner of the world... I guess it's not so strange to see how I ended up doing postgrad studies in Barcelona, living with a Nicaraguan guy... and managed to meet Ibrahim Ferrer. :-))))
Well, in 2007 I finally crossed the ocean again and this time got further south and got to know Nicaragua. I hope, truly truly hope, that pretty soon I'll be able to walk the soil of other latin american countries.
... Abril, 2009... Yet ANOTHER fantastic experience with some Cubanos in Skopje. The group of artists that call themselves Pasion de Buena Vista (www.pasion-de-buena-vista.com) spent 3,5 days in Skopje, WITH ME. :-)
As a translator, well actually a host, for the whole group I spend a lot of hours with them and had so much fun. Es que los Cubanos son extraordinarios...
So, my absolute priority in the travel plan is Cuba. Most definitely! | | | Cari y Mari, antes de la actuacion |

| sunny and cold, Maria in Skopje |
| | ... I love... I love the SUN, I love movement, energy, dynamics, exploration, curiousity, open-mindedness, communication... I love mornings and starry skies, I love tasting a good wine, I love having long hair, I love dancing, I love NOT wearing high heels, I love to smile... I love animals, I love Marquez's books, I love music, I love getting the first cup of coffee in a place that is new to me...
and so much more... |
peacefullness.... the little sunshine in our home... Miss Kitty. She actually came to our doorstep (mind you we live on the 14th floor), after wandering around for... who-knows how long... and so we took her in. And it changed our lives completely so... even before I knew that animals are so special but now I REALLY cannot understand the people who don't like them.
| | SELF EVIDENT... and every borough looked up when it heard the first blast and then every dumb action movie was summarily surpassed and the exodus uptown by foot and motorcar looked more like war than anything i've seen so far so far so far so fierce and ingenious a poetic specter so far gone that every jackass newscaster was struck dumb and stumbling over 'oh my god' and 'this is unbelievable' and on and on and i'll tell you what, while we're at it you can keep the pentagon keep the propaganda keep each and every tv that's been trying to convince me to participate in some prep school punk's plan to perpetuate retribution (Ani DiFranco) ANI, U ROCK GIRL... |
