What impressed me most about Berlin was the sense of living history there. The realities of both Nazism and Communism are still fresh in the appearance of the city and the memory of the Berliners. Plus it's very quickly developing a new identity, as the commercial and political nerve center of Europe's most populous nation. And it's fun to spot locations from "Run Lola Run". Damn, I love that movie. |
