"It's narrow, but it's a passage!" Storakinna by daarth
Storakinna Travel Guide: 0 reviews and 12 photos
On the east side of the little island of Storakinna, there is a passage just wide enough for small boats to squeeze through. Just mind the rock right under the surface next to the cliff. Usually the water is deepest near the cliff, but in this passage, it's better to stay in the middle.
There is quite a distance from Bergen out to the open sea. Going south, it’s more than 20 nautical miles, and there are several routes out. This is one of them and very scenic
Next to the island is the only water scooter practice area in the district. Free use of water scooters are not permitted in Norway

What a beautiful and heartwarming travelogue! I'm sure that your mum would have been proud of your effort. Here's hoping that my children will exercise similar care and sensitivity when the time comes! Regards Cathy
Oh David. That is just lovely mate :o) xx
Definately looks like a heart, how lovely.
It does look like a heart. David. My mother wanted her grave stone to be peterhead granite, but my brother got something else. Pity. Have a happy birthday. I got sidetracked!
I stumbled on your pages because I thought the lamb was cute in your picture. Your tribute to your mother is lovely and the stone looks perfect. Definitely shaped like a heart.
Your mother was blessed to have a family who loved her so well. Such a lovely story, thank you for sharing it with us. leyle
That is a wonderful story. Your mother would be so proud of you. Thank you for sharing it with us. Diane
I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. Your mother is honoured by such a tribute and such a son. And it looks unique and perfect. Katherine :)
I'd never have thought of looking for a natural headstone - a wonderful idea & it does indeed sound as if fate lent a hand that day, as if the stone was waiting for you.Now it's in place, I'm sure your Mother is pleased with such a tribute. Warm wishes X
So glad to see the headstone in place, it's so perfect and amazingly suited. Thanks for showing us this final stage of the journey. hugs from kiwiland, Pam :-)
