Duesseldorf is located right at the rhine-river and no matter if at day or night... tis a beauty!
Also known as the "world´s longest bar-counter" it is famous for its "Alt"-beer, some pubs still brew their own beer! Very tasty! The city is also well known for fashion and style and hosts annually the worlds largest boat trade fair!
The city has so much to offer, and even though i live and like it here, i do not feel at home here!
There is something that makes me feel i should be elsewhere, but not here... i dunno... i am a traveller (over the last 4 years i have moved about 5 or 6 times, tho within the area, but still unusual for a german, who are known for not moving a lot... *lol*)
What keeps me here is probably my heart hanging on the job as a volunteer firefighter, and the general lack of $$$ (what else is new...)
Thats why i wrote "My Hometown for now..."
I have added a travelogue to this site, well, it is not really a travelogue, but i know lots of people are interested in the work of firefighters around the world, so i thought i put up a few pics from my last course at the firefighter school... enjoy!
