I had a mix of feelings about visiting Las Vegas. I was not sure if I was going to like it. I saw many of my friends that after visiting had loved it, but also others that founded false (yes Spaniard you were right LOL) I guess for Americans it must be the land of freedom, where everything is permitted. But things like that there are permitted here in Spain (and in many other countries) so there are not special for me.
And after my visit to USA now I understand why …. When certain things get forbidden that brings more excitement… if you allow them, they stop being so exciting.
I agree they have incredible hotels with incredible attractions that made me feel I was in a Disneyland for adults.
Maybe is that I do not understand gambling. I was very young when my father gave me the week pay and say to me to spend it on a lot machine, it was exciting with all that colours and music, but one the money was off I asked him for my payment back, and he told me I had already spent, that if I ever wanted to gamble I should always remember that at the end you always loose your money. I think this was one of the greatest lessons of him (and I do not remember many lol).
Maybe is that I prefer to visit nature or monumental places.
But Las Vegas is a place you love it or hate it. And I did both. I think is a place you have to visit once in your life to discover it.
I hope no one gets hurt with my comments.
