The "Dragon's Gate" is at Grant Avenue and Bush Street. From here you enter to another world.
Lots of shops (souvenirs), restaurants, temples.... But it was the people’s faces, the food vendors... and the dried fish.... what will go with me in my memory forever....

Suddenly you leave China to get into a mix of French and Italian buildings and restaurants.
It seems that is more lively at night, but here we enjoyed a great cappuccino and sandwiches.... with something that made me nostalgic, water with Lemon and ice... a classic at home...

What do you expect to see at fisherman’s Wharf? Hope you are ready to see souvenirs shops, restaurants and other shops to make you expend your money LOL
Here you can get the typical 3 t shirts for 10 dollars or the fleece with San Francisco logo (yes we do not expect SF to be so cold!!!!!!! Even Stacy decided to buy one LOL), and thousands of other souvenirs to take back home (well I will admit that at least there were not as tacky as at the rest of the places I had been!)
It covers from Pier 39 with the Sea lions and shops till the Pier 45 with Pampanito submarine and Alcatraz views.

Ok, we did not visited the island and inside the Presidio but we saw it from Pier 45.
The reason that we could not visit was that there was not available tour for the next 5 days, so the next one was after we left SF... So if you are really interested in visiting it, make sure you book in advance.
Also you can just do a bay cruise and watch it from the Sea, but wait for good weather conditions (for around 20 dollars per person)

Is it a tourist attraction, must see activity or Tourist trap? Not sure.
I guess you have to go and decide by yourself.
The main thing to do while there is to see the Sea Lions and them walk along the shopping area.
For many can be boring as it is all restaurants and shops, but the restoration that was done there is great. I did some sepia photos of here and it looks like half century ago.
Well done! (in marketing terms) to the brain behind this project!

This tower can be seen in many places of San Francisco, this view is from Pier 39, from the same place you can see the Sea Lions.
We did not go up so we did not pay for the entrance.
I had heard there is a museum inside and you can have great views from there

I suggest to try to get the tram for this one (lIne Powell- Hyde) it stops you on the top of the street. If the tram is too busy and you decide to go walking, please go to the parallel one called Leavenworth as it is less hill as the other one and the views are much better from down that from the top.
We are talking about 8 turnings in the same block as it was in the 20´s a steep street for a straigh road....
Walk through it and do the photo from downside, you will have to fight for an space hehehehe

San Francisco City Hall, we had not in mind stopping to visit it, but while on the bus we saw a market at the street so we got down the bus and saw at the end the city hall (I think we were in bus line 21, but not sure).
You can see Bolivar statue and lots of hearts on the way to the entrance.
It seems that you can join some of the group tours they do. Check on their web site.
