Granada is a famous city and not only because the Alhambra and all the Moslem style monuments.
"Give something to the poor blind man,
because there’s nothing crueller in life
than to be blind in Granada"...
"Granada, city of Enchantment and Fantasy" were the words of Washington Irving who was captivated by this place.
The best time to come and visit Granada is in September & October or April & may, it is not to hot and not to cold.
If you want to see something typically Spanish you should come to the Cruces, this festival is on the 3rd of May and all the streets are full filled of flowers and outside music and pubs. Everybody enjoying themselves. In every corner there is a cross of flowers and everybody compete to have the best one. Cordoba as well has this party but I do not have photos scanned at the moment.
Granada has a lot of Baroque Architecture that it is not as famous but is equally beautiful to visit.
Granada is a university town and offers a range of amenities comparable to those of any modern city.
As well you will be able to do skiing in the highest mountain of Spain. Sierra Nevada.

- Pros:Love this city .... the mix of cultures ...
- Cons:very cold in winter and hot in summer
- In a nutshell:Free tapas with the drink and atmosphere in the streets

I enjoyed your Granada page so much! I recently returned from a two weeks' stay there, and Granada made an unforgettable mpression on me! I hope to go back!
To see the architecture of the palace and follow its history over the ages must be surreal. YOu have done a nice job of showing the sites and the comments very well prepared.
Your tourist trap photos seem more of an illustration of a walk through the Alhambra. What is the trap?
I don't understand your tourist trap tips. They don't seem to be traps to me.
great tips amiga! was able to book the hotel you recommended and now i'm about to buy alhambra tickets online. muchas gracias usted!
Nice page! Off to Granada very soon, so thanks for the tour!
Hola Carmen :) I liked your Alhambra page so much. Also your tips are useful. all the best. Bora
Does the Alhambra have an audio guide, or should I buy a printed guide in advance? It is too big to remember all of the details!
Hola Carmela 71 You may want to change the classification for your Alhambra tips as they are currently all listed under tourist traps. Seem a bit unfair on the Alhambra :)
Yesterday I watched a TV programme named "The most beautiful castles of Europe', the one dedicated to La Alhambra. *Fingers crossed*, if everything goes as I want, Pyrenees are for spring 2009... tssss
