Great Patatas Bravas... a great option! lol Even if we can not compare to the ones at Burgos lol

I have come here often with Olga and miguel, and also in my first VT meeting.

We had a few tapas of patatas bracvas, octopus at gaelician style, boquerones in vinager, and tortilla de patatas, with a few beers of course....

Restaurant Name: Cerveceria Alemana

After some tapas go to have some drinks to Cerveceria Alemana in the Plaza Sta. Ana, one of my favourites.

Also at night is a good place to start the night in that Area.

Whenever I used to come to Madrid, this was the meeting point of my friends. they used to wait here for all, and them go around some of the places around Huertas.

Favorite Dish: Neares tube: Sevilla or Sol

VT meeting

Restaurant Name: Cuban Restaurant

Again near plaza Sta Ana, a Cuban restaurant with live music.

Here we had a great dinner during my first vt meeting here.

I think I was one of the few that never been in Cuba, and still am I, Hope this changes one day lol, but it was interesting to have some typical dishes. As I never tried before I can not know how they were in comparation with the real ones.

Vt meeting

The walls of this bar are covered in Spanish ceramic tiles.

The first time I came was for the first Vt meeting, and we had a great time

It used to be the old haunt of bullfighters and movie stars.

A must photo in front of the entrance, it has a great style

Lots of them around city center

You will find many of them around Madrid center....

I would not say is a good one, but is ideal for a quick stop for lunch to have some jamon or cheese, and not bad priced

Maybe not the best Jamon serrano, but ok for a quick lunch

Restaurant Name: Cafe Gijon

This was a very well known place to enjoy a Tertulia (informal chats and discussions held on a regular basis) at the beginning of the 20th century until the Spanish Civil War.

The style of Cafe Gijon remains as it was, decoration has not changed in the last 50 years

The outdoor terrace is very popular

Favorite Dish: We decided to meet here on our meeting of the 7th September 2003.

Prices are:

Normal coffe 2.40 Euros
Special coffes 4.20 Euros
Alcohol special coffees 6.60 Euros
coke or other drinks 2,40 Euros

Racion Jamon Serrano 26 Euros.

VT meeting

Restaurant Name: Extremadura

Last meeting, we were around Chuieva area, trying to find nice places for tapas, when we found that most of them were close. We pass this place, and though why not stopping and eating?

And we did, we had some raciones, that were good, some selection of desserts and shots at the end
