The capital of Spain, I will not get you bored with all the classic details that you find in google about population, size and all that stuff, but I will tell you, that most of the people I know love it or hate it lol.
Madrid for me is more than a city, I was baptism here at the Mexican church near Prosperidad as my "Padrinos" lived there. so I visited quite a few times.
We also lived for short periods of time in several occasions, so I can tell you, I have walked this city since I was a little child.
Later on I meet a Madrileño and for a long time had a long relationship with him, so that make me visit the city a few times.
For a long time I did not go to Madrid, but my best friend moved there, so I used to go the weekends, as I missed her.
And also the VT meeting (How can I forget them? lol)
Now my cousin (or nearly sister) is living there, also my nephew is there at university, so I guess Stace and me we will have more chances to visit family, our friends (here are also included our VT friends, and of course we will try to be in all the VT meetings that we could manage lol)

Sightseeing in Madrid is a must, but what I always loved is to get lost at the Austria’s area, lots of incredible buildings, little churches. I love the atmosphere.
Dinning and going out are another of my favourites...
And of course, I better not talk about shopping ;-)
On my must do activities I ahve a little itinerary of the main visits to Madrid, Hope is helpfull!
I guess I always wanted to be a guide lol, the only thing I liked from Tourism degree.
