    • Favorite Thing: this ship was called La Dorada

    This boat ( Chanquete's fishing boat), has been a symbol of Nerja's tourist boom.

    The TV serie of "Verano azul" is in the memory of all of us.

    Today it stands in the Parque Verano Azul

    • Favorite Thing: The heart of Nerja is its spectacular Balcón de Europa, a great promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, once the site of a Moorish castle.

    Wonderfull panoramic views of the Mediterranean (see travelogue) and the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy blue mountains.

    Narrow streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces with geraniums...

    This is an old castle of the 9th century.
