It was once a small fishing village but now is one of the most famous resorts of the Malaga. It is East of Malaga around 50 kms around 60 minutes from Granada.
My first visit to Nerja was many years ago, when I was a child and used to go on holidays to Torrox Costa and my uncle had an apartment here. Now it has develop much more (as all the Spain coasts LOL).
After that I did not visit for a long time, but during university time I got much attached to Nerja as our neighbours were from there.
Now I go very often as one day excursion from Marbella, including Frigiliana in my visit. And also for the weekends as one of my friends from university has a pub there and I always have such a great time there!!! (yes again the dangerous Sandra and me together lol)

Nerja is mainly known by its caves (founded by chance by some kids) and the Balcon de Europa

Verano Azul
This boat is very well known by most of the Spanish people... EL BARCO DE CHANQUETE.... yes the one we all said NO NOS MOVERAN ... Around 20 year sago a Spanish serie was filmed here in Nerja, so it became even more famous into the Spanish tourist market...
