From the roman ruins of Sirmione to the various castles around the lake, driving around the lake or by ferry, you will encounter some beautiful spots or cities that will make the trip exceptional!

And better not talk about the wine and food ;-)))

The best way for us was by car driving along the road Number 249 also called Gardesana. It is around 160 km but expect lots of traffic jams even in low season, slow drivers enjoying the way

But the road can be scary at some areas, not only because some drivers think they are in a Fromula1 track also the state of some of the tunnels would not pass the new regulations for sure …

Thanks for the tips - will look be taking in Simione (spelling!!??) and be aware of car parking in May 08.
