The origins of Paris was on this little island in the Seine, connected to the city by bridges (and lately via metro too lol)
Here was where the first tribu was settle, but its importance come back to middle ages with Notre-Dame, Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie later on.

| | Romance at the bridges and the seine….
History at their buildings and the peopel that made Paris what is now.
Art where ever you go …
And Creps lol
But my favourite… walking at night through this area…. I will never forget

Nemorino Fri Aug 29, 2008 14:39 UTC Funny that VT has this as a separate location, since it is right in the middle of Paris. (On their map they show it as being on Rue Réaumur, over 1 km north of its true location.) But I like the photos in your tips and travelogues. | sachara Wed Jul 27, 2005 21:27 UTC Hi Carmen lovely page with wonderful pictures. Next time I have to explore this part of Paris a little bit more.... | Maillekeukeul Wed May 4, 2005 20:36 UTC Unicamente dos palabras : estupendas fotos !!! | Geisha_Girl Sat Nov 6, 2004 09:00 UTC Yes!
