  • Our first day we went to see this impressive tower of 300 meters high, and a price of 10 Euros to go to the top.

Even if the second floor is the best one for photographs, a visit to the top is a must do.

On the top you can hear all the languages of the world lol...

What a great business is this tower, is all we pay 10 Euros and there were queues like that in November, I wonder how much they have to earn over there.

  • Incredible, Amazing ... No words.

Just the building itself deserves the visit.

The Mesopotamia area with the code of hammurabi and the Archers, deserves a whole day to be able to enjoy them.

The Egypt, Greek, Roman and Etrusc are one of the biggest selection in sculptures (sorry British Museum lol)

The picture section is amazing too

Look you need a moth to visit this place, if not you just have a glimpse of what it is. As I feel now.

the most funny moments .. of course the crowd of people doing photos of La giaconda and the Venus of Nile lol

Remember that is closed on Tuesdays and that Mondays and Wednesdays are open some (only some) areas of the Museum.

  • Another commemoration arch by Napoleon just outside Louvre in direction to its big brother the Arc de Triomphe.

Of course not as impressive as its brother, but is incredible the view from any of the sides looking through to the Louvre at the Pyramid square or at the jardin de Tulleries

Our day started at Louvre (for a short visit of 3 hours, you need many more lol) then walk through the arch, garden, Champs Elysées .... till the Arc the triumph and finally by RER to the big new one of La Defense

  • At the end of Champs Elysées coming from the Louvre you can see the Arc de Triomphe.

Underneath you can see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and on the arch is written many of the battles won by the French.

Inside the Arch on the top, apart of great views of Paris there is a little museum, but after the various stairs (more than various lol) you sit there to relax lol not to enjoy it hehehe

You can enter here with the Paris Museum Pass

  • After visiting the Arch de Triomphe, we decided that our next step was this Arch, when we arrived we realised that we needed more money as the standard metro ticket does not work, but we were lucky and they let us pass lol without paying the extra.

when we arrived the day got worst and began to rain, so we though it would not be worth to pay the extra 7 Euros (as it is not included in the Museum pass) for a rainy and clouded day... We said to come back, but we did not had time

  • This palace of Justice from the XIV century has an impressive history. The tour around visiting the cells where many famous people spend their last days and minutes before going to the guillotine deserves …..

The Salle des Gardes and the Salle des Gens d'Armes even if the look desolated make you come back in time and feel how it could be on that dates. Just impressive!

Some of the most famous prisoners were Marie Antoinette (whose cell is preserve and made a chapel) Danton, Desmoulins o Robespierre

It is also included in the Paris Museum pass.

  • We visited several times from outside. As you may know I love Gothic and specially its cathedrals (Burgos, Leon, Toledo in Spain...) we missed Reims due to lack of time, but hope to come back

By the way, I saw quasimodo on the top of the tower, when we did the tour (see packing tips lol)

  • We were amazed of their stained glasses, we could not stop enjoying them, even we nearly forgot to take photos lol

To enter is valid the Paris Museum Card and it is sited inside the Justice Palace.

At the ground floor you will find the habitual souvenir shop that you will find everywhere and at the right take the steps to visit the Chapel

Again I love gothic in Paris

  • Close to Eiffel Tower and Rodin Museum, you can enter with the Museum Pass.

Les Invalides includes 3 museums, the tomb of Napoleon and the church.

    Musée de l'Armée
    Musée des Plans-Reliefs
Musée de l'Ordre de la Libération
    St-Louis-des-Invalides Church

The museums were very very interesting, but it was a pity all was in French as I love the contemporanean history. is great how they preserve the memories of all the people that fight for their freedom, and it was a pity it was not in another languages.

  • He wanted to be near the Seine, and after a few years of his death (I think it was 50 years later) his wishes became true.

What best place also, as the church is impressive and close to the Arm museum, I am sure he is happy now.
