LONDON : ROYAL ALBERT HALL

Never in my wildest dream did I imagine I would ever get a chance to step into the Royal Albert Hall.

I had always thought only the RICH can afford a evening of entertainment in this exquisite concert hall.

As it turned out, in the summer, there are PROMS performances where STANDING TICKETS go for 4 pounds or so. Mighty affordable and the concert is very good.

NORTHERN IRELAND : GIANT'S CAUSEWAY

Here lie groups of hexagon-shaped basalt columns, like organ pipes of various heights, along the dramatic northern coast-line of North Ireland. The very large collection of columns makes this geological wonder look really spectacular, especially with the constant crashing waves against the columns and the high winds whipping you around.

Apparently, Finn McCool, a legendary giant, liked a female giant on the Scottish island of Staffa opposite and built some stepping stones to cross to the island.

The other rumour is that these columns were formed from red-hot lava which solidified and crystallised some 60 million years ago... as if you believe THIS!

While very touristed, there are still quiet corners where you can sit on the columns and stare out into open ocean and be totally in touch with nature. An incredible locale!

LONDON : NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM

The Natural History Museum is a centre of scientific excellence in taxonomy and biodiversity.

The various collections are enormous. There are dinosaurs, human biology, insects, mammals, zoological specimens, Earth sections and more. The displays are presented in extremely interesting and innovative ways (many interactive ones too), very good for a day of fun and learning.

Entrance is free.

LONDON : SHAKESPEARE AT THE GLOBE THEATRE

One of my most wonderful experiences in London had been attending a Shakespeare performance 'Twelfth Night' at the The Globe Theatre, restored to how an old Shakespearean theatre had been. The cast was made up entirely of males too, much like in Shakespeare's time.

The performance was hilarious and flawless. Thoroughly enjoyable and memorable.

Just 5 pounds for STANDING TICKETS. The three hours were so entertaining, I hardly felt tired.

Directions: By the Thames River
