Favorite thing: visit Petra for at least 2 days. For the first entry, go in by the regular way, through the Siq. The second day, try to go via the other route through the Nabatean-cut tunnel near the entrance to the Siq. It is safe to walk by yourself, just keep left all the way and it should get you to around the East Cliff in about 1.5 hrs. The 2nd route is interesting as at times, the path became so small that you feel like you're going through the heart of a mountain, a very colourful mountain too.

Fondest memory: The local children and teenagers I met in Jordan were really delightful, friendly, and very helpful. I had scrambled up from behind the Theatre of Umm Qais and standing on top of the rumble, I asked one of the boys nearby which way was better to clamour down. He gestured left and his friends, sitting further away, yelled, 'Help her! Help her!' and a couple of them ran over and indicated exactly which block I should step on to come down. After my safe landing, they asked, 'Photo??' Sure, why not! :-)
