On a bus, passing the English Clock Tower
The most wonderful thing about Buenos Aires Transportation is that the machine provides CHANGE! Isn’t that great news? Most rides are 75 to 80 centavos. The buses run 24 hours too, although with less frequency in the wee hours.
Compare this to most public transportations in major cities, like London, which stop by mid-night or so. Indeed, Buenos Aires is the city that never sleeps.
The slight problem to the ticketing machine is that one needs to drop in the coins one by one and can be quite a delay when there is a crowd.

Subte: Catedral
The ‘Subte’ or Metro System does not appear to be very well-designed.
Lines ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘D’ and ‘E’ start from Plaza de Mayo before radiating out in different directions. If one wants to switch from one line to another, one has to return all the way to Plaza de Mayo and change from there.
Line ‘A’ is the oldest underground in South America. The trains there are made of wood.

The cheapest way to come from the EZE airport to the centre of Buenos Aires is to take the MANUEL TIENDA LEON buses.
To depart from the centre of Buenos Aires for the EZE airport, go to the MANUEL TIENDA LEON office at Avenida Santa Fe 790, near the Plaza San Martin.
Leaves every half-hour in either direction.
If you buy directly from the office, it should be slightly cheaper (12 Arg Pesos), compared to buying the ticket from, say, your hostel.

One of the RETIRO Train Stations
If someone advise you to take a train from RETIRO… there are actually 3 train stations : Belgrano, Mitre and San Martin.
Establish which train stations before heading out there.

Remis taxis are safer and cheaper especially if you know you need a taxi in advance. There are REMIS companies spread all over the city where you can book in advance a remis taxi to take you to the airport or wherever.
There is no meter but prices are fixed beforehand and will work out cheaper than a rogue taxi driving you all over the city.
