Temples- Singapore is a multi-cultural society and there are of course many religions practiced. There are some great temples to visit. In China town, visit the Thiang Hock Keng temple- the temple of heavenly happiness. Built in 1840, this is one of the oldest and ,most colorful temples in Singapore. I also recommend seeing the Sri Mariamman Indian temple in South Bridge Road, also in Chinatown. Originally built in 1827 and rebuilt in 1862, this is a beautiful temple, with a colorful tower or gopuram over the entrance.
