I went there with my american friend Tony for 5 days and the weather was humid and hot. We walked on the strip one afternoon and I said "No more" because during the day the only thing to do was relax IN the pool. The travel agent gave us the SAHARA HOTEL that was huge, let me tell you.
It was quite old and not nice and fancy as the newer ones that populate Las Vegas but there was a casino inside ect..
Tony won a lot, in every casino we visited, I was the one that collected just souvenirs from the hotels like pens, cups and mugs...yes, all that I won!

The food was really cheap and mainly it was a all-you-can -eat type of food, meat and grills were cheap also and at the Caesar palace there was a fake piazza of Italy where there was a fancy italians restaurant, but I have the habit of never eating in italian restaurants while abroad as I am italian and I prefer to try the food of the place.
