Riverside is where I graduated from Ramona High School in '76. About 70 miles southeast of Los Angeles and 90 miles northeast of San Diego, you can reach the beaches of Orange county or the snow capped San Bernardino mountains in under an hour by car. The city has at least doubled in size since I graduated (both physical size and population) but what makes it stand out from the Orange County suburban sprawl is its setting with several small hills within the city. this picture was taken from atop one of those hills, Mt. Rubidoux. |
