Look out for the fruit bats or flying foxes, these things have a metre wide wing span and live in the botanical gardens adjacent to the opera house, by night they wheel about over the city in great flocks and by day they just hang upside down in the trees, go see them at dusk when they start to wake up and leave,a fantastic site.

Nightlife Spot: Lowenbrau Keller
Ifyou walk up the road that goes under the harbour side of the bridge you will find the bar on your right just next to the road. It`s a German style beer house with plenty of real German beers and food in the style of the great Munich beer houses, a great night out (if you can drink)

Australia Day is a great celebration of what it means to be an Australian, the day is littered with fantastic things to see and do. We ended our first Australia Day in Darling Harbour for the fireworks.
