La Rochelle Travel Guide: 86 reviews and 208 photos
On our way from Ebeon to the airport at La Rochelle we made time to stop in the old part of town, grab a bite to eat and do a little sight seeing. We flew in to France at Limoges and were not prepared for the problem of finding the airport, more of that later.
The older parts of La Rochelle are great for dining and shopping and with time against us we settled for some quick crepes and a little `leche vitrine` in French it means glass licking, we call it window shopping. Many of the old buildings are still standind as is the wall around the old town.
- Pros:Plenty to see and do.
- Cons:Traffic is a nightmare.
- In a nutshell:Would we go back?....maybe.

Lucky you to find the airport haha. Nothing compare to no direction signs in real East - Russia haha. Prepare a lot of bottles of champagne whenever you drive there :-)))
