If you are like me and are interested in archaeology and history, then Malta is the place to visit. Situated in the heart of the blue Mediterranean sea, Malta has played a very important role right from the beginning of civilisation up to the modern period. You can find Neolithic temples from 5000BC, Roman catacombs, Medieval buildings and fortifications built by the Knights of St John during 1530-1798.
For those people who just want a place to relax and have fun, Malta offers a chance to make many new friends. The Maltese people are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you.
Apart from August when the weather can get very hot and humid, Malta's otherwise mild climate makes it an ideal holiday place to visit during anytime of the year. |
| | Malta International Air Show It's time again for this spectacular air show which is held in Malta every year. The aerobatic team of the Royal Air Force, the Red Arrows will be this year's main feature and they will be performing a 20 minute precision-flying display on 24th and 25th September. Read more about last year's show and in my Off The Beaten Path Tip or visit the official Air Show web site. |
