What a fantastic city! Colonial streets, old churches and cathedrals, ecletic restaurants with flower-infused courtyards, taking shade in the central park, enjoying the beautiful Nicaraguan art, buying handicrafts and artensania in one of the many markets; making day trips to explore Lago Cocibolca and the Isletas, visiting Masaya and its famous market, nearby forts, one of the many volcanos and national parks, sunning and bathing in Laguna de Apoyo, buying typical wares in the Pueblos Blancos. We spent five packed days here of relaxation and exploration. So much to do and so much heat!!! |
