Greece is the most wonderful place in the world. Ios is where I get my sanity back. Ios is a simple island to navigate. There is only one real town (Chora). You reach Ios by ferry. Most ferries for Ios originate in Athens and the route culminates in Santorini (Thira) and makes the reverse track back to Athens. Other ferries to Ios start out in Rafina via Mykonos. You will arrive in the tiny port of Ios. It is best not to stay in the port because most of the action is up the hill (2km) in Chora. From Chora, heading in the opposite direction from the port, is beautiful Mylopatos beach. Sun, Sea, Sex, and Souvalki are all you need to know on the party island of Ios. |
